About This Episode

What happens when a cam model stops treating camming like a job and starts treating it like a business?

In Episode #74 of Cam Girl Diaries, Gary Gabagool sits down with Tatted Ava, a 23-year-old cam model who has been in the industry for about four years. Ava opens up about her journey from starting on MyFreeCams at 19 to building her own niche on CamSoda, learning how to control her room, and figuring out how to make more money without spending all day online.

Ava shares plenty of practical cam model tips, including why finding your niche matters, how she learned to recognize what actually works, why she stopped giving away hours of free attention, and how she uses her personality and dirty-talk style to turn viewers into paying customers.

The conversation also gets into the less glamorous side of the business: balancing camming with motherhood, taking time away for self-care, dealing with an OnlyFans agency that took 50% of her earnings, and the importance of protecting your time, energy, and peace.

From CamSoda and Chaturbate to OnlyFans marketing and building a recognizable online persona, this episode is packed with stories, lessons, and cam girl tips from someone who learned much of it through experience.

Episode Highlights

๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿ’ป Finding Your Cam Model Niche

Ava explains why figuring out exactly what you’re known for can make it easier to attract the right viewers. Rather than being everything to everyone, she focuses on a specific persona and performance style so people know what they’re getting when they enter her room.

๐Ÿ’ฐ Teaching the Chat How to Treat You

One of Ava’s biggest pieces of cam model advice is learning how to value your time. She explains how she went from spending hours talking to people for free to deliberately focusing her attention on people who actually tip. Her philosophy is simple: you teach people how to treat you.

๐Ÿ“ฑ The OnlyFans Agency Lesson

Ava gets candid about an OnlyFans agency experience where she gave up 50% of her earnings in exchange for management, marketing, and chatting services. When the promised promotion didn’t materialize and problems developed with the account’s content and fans, she eventually left. She explains why she now prefers the idea of hiring specialists for specific jobs rather than automatically handing everything to one agency.

Why This Episode Is Worth Watching

If you’re a cam model trying to figure out how to make your time online more productive, this conversation has plenty to dig into.

Ava doesn’t present her experience as a magic formula. Instead, she talks about the years it took to develop her confidence, discover her niche, understand her audience, and learn what actually worked for her. She explains how she went from spending seven hours a day online to working much shorter sessions while being more intentional about what she does during those sessions.

There’s also a valuable conversation about boundaries. Ava describes how she initially spent hours talking to people without getting paid, eventually realizing that she needed to put more value on her time. That evolution is one of the clearest examples of practical cam girl tips in the episode.

The episode also goes beyond making money. Ava talks openly about self-care, motherhood, social media burnout, and the emotional energy involved in constantly performing for an audience. She explains why sometimes stepping away from the online world is necessary to reconnect with herself.

And if you’re considering an OnlyFans agency, Ava’s story offers a firsthand look at what she experienced after signing a contract that gave the agency half of her earnings. Her recommendation to consider hiring people for specific roles instead of automatically using a full-service agency is another useful piece of cam model advice.

Whether you’re brand new to camming or you’ve been doing it for years, Tatted Ava’s experience provides plenty of ideas to think about when it comes to finding your niche, building relationships with paying fans, protecting your time, and creating a business that works for you.

Gary Gabagool: And I’ll verbally encourage it through dirty talk. It’s like psychologically putting the idea in their mind without actually showing it to them.

Gary: Holy shit. So you’re psychologically manipulating these guys?

Tatted Ava: Yeah. I love that.

Gary: Let’s get into it. Let me introduce you. Tatted Ava!

Tatted Ava: Yes!

Gary: I love your tagline. Was it “Tattoos, curls, and a whole lot of ass”?

Tatted Ava: Yeah. It was “sass,” but emphasis on the ass.

Gary: I forgot the sass part. My bad.

Tatted Ava: It’s okay. That’s me.

Life Outside Camming

Gary: It sure is you. Goddamn, we finally fucking did this. We planned on doing this last week, right?

Tatted Ava: Yes.

Gary: And stuff gets in the way. Just like when you’re a cam girl, you have a life. You have personal stuff going on.

Tatted Ava: Exactly. I have three kids. I’m a single mom with three kids, so I definitely have an outside life going on all the time. It’s nonstop.

Gary: That’s crazy because I have two, and one’s enough.

Tatted Ava: I have three. I have a five-year-old, a three-year-old, and another one who’s even younger.

Gary: Holy shit.

Tatted Ava: Yeah. It’s crazy around here.

Gary: I mean, I’ve got a 20-year-old and an eight-year-old, so that’s a pretty big age gap.

Tatted Ava: Yeah, that’s a good age gap.

Gary: Yeah, I basically did all that with my first one and then started over.

Tatted Ava: Yeah.

Gary: So how the fuck do you balance all of that? Because camming takes a lot of work. It’s not just shooting videos and showing your body. There’s a lot more to it.

Tatted Ava: Honestly, I’ve been camming for about four years. I cammed when I was pregnant and when I was postpartum. I’ve literally cammed throughout having my children.

Now I’ve been two years pregnancy-free, and I’ve learned how to make my schedule work for me.

I take a lot of time off, probably more than I should, but I’ve learned that self-care helps you perform 100% better as a cam model.

Camming While Pregnant and Lactation Content

Gary: So you were performing while you were pregnant?

Tatted Ava: Yeah.

Gary: So you were doing pregnant content?

Tatted Ava: Yeah. People love that. There’s a kink for everything.

I also did a lot of lactation content while I was pregnant and after I gave birth.

Gary: I’m curious about the lactation stuff. What do you actually do? Do you just squirt some milk out? How does that work?

Tatted Ava: I don’t do lactation anymore because it’s been about a year since I breastfed. But before that, I would do fetish content where I’d squirt the milk all over my body. I’d put it into a cup and drink it.

Gary: You drink your own milk?

Tatted Ava: Yeah.

Gary: Like a 1990s “Milk Does a Body Good” commercial with a milk mustache?

Tatted Ava: No. It was just basically putting it into a cup and drinking it.

Gary: And guys are into that?

Tatted Ava: Yeah. People are weird. I’ve learned that the weirder the fetish is, the more kinky it is, the more they pay.

Gary: So you figured, “Fuck it, I’m going to share it. I made it.”

Tatted Ava: Exactly.

How Tatted Ava Got Into Camming

Gary: Obviously, you didn’t start out doing lactation content. How did you get started as a cam model?

Tatted Ava: Actually, I got pretty lucky. My mom has been a cam model for about 14 years.

Gary: Holy shit.

Tatted Ava: Yeah. She’s been strictly a cam model for about 14 years, and she told me about it.

I knew my mom was a cam model when I was a teenager, but when I was around 18 or 19, she kept telling me, “You’ll do really well at it. You have the look for it. You have the personality. Just try it.”

So I started when I was about 19.

I was living in my mom’s pool house, basically an extra house in her backyard, and one night I just said, “Fuck it.”

I started streaming on MFC, MyFreeCams. I was wearing a bra and underwear, sitting in a computer chair, and I fell in love with the fact that men would pay me just for sitting there.

Gary: Just sitting there?

Tatted Ava: Just sitting there. I was like, “This is fucking crazy.”

And now here I am, four years later, still going strong.

Having a Cam Model for a Mom

Gary: Since your mom is a cam girl, have you ever done stuff together?

Tatted Ava: No, we’ve never cammed together.

Gary: I know that’s an awkward question.

Tatted Ava: It is. But we’re very open about it. There’s no such thing as TMI between us.

I’ll tell her about whatever I did that day, whether it was squirting, anal, findom, whatever. We’re completely open about talking about it.

We just don’t cam together.

Gary: Does anyone else in your family know?

Tatted Ava: A couple years ago, I was with this guy and we were going through a breakup. During the breakup, he sent my dad a screenshot of him having sex with me from behind on a cam site.

He was literally blackmailing me.

Gary: What a piece of shit.

Tatted Ava: Yeah. So my dad knew a couple years ago that I was involved in camming. I think he knows now, but he doesn’t ask me about it.

Gary: Probably doesn’t want to know.

Tatted Ava: Probably not.

But my dad and I still have a really great relationship. We’re actually closer than ever.

Discovering Her Mom’s Camming Career

Gary: So your mom has been camming for 14 years. Did you actually see her camming when you were younger, or did it just become a subject that came up?

Tatted Ava: It kind of got around the family a little bit.

When I was around 10 or 11, the internet was really starting to become a thing, and I was super nosy. When my mom wasn’t around, I’d go on her computer and investigate.

I found her cam name and Googled her on my phone. I saw all of her content. She was on Pornhub and had modeling pictures online. She was actually doing pretty well for herself.

Gary: So seeing your mom do it inspired you?

Tatted Ava: Yeah. If there’s anybody who had a big influence on me getting into camming, it was definitely her. I wouldn’t have known what it was if it wasn’t for her.

I’ve always been into getting dressed up, makeup, hair, looking good, and feeling good. It felt natural to me.

I’ve also always been very sexual and kinky, so I thought, “Oh my God, is this my calling?”

Gary: It’s in your DNA.

Tatted Ava: Literally.

From Chaturbate to CamSoda

Gary: You’re on CamSoda now, right?

Tatted Ava: Yeah. I’ve been on CamSoda for about a year, and it’s basically the only platform I stream on now.

Before that, I was on Chaturbate for a long time.

Gary: What happened with Chaturbate?

Tatted Ava: I was doing really well there. It was my baby. But I did a private show involving a type of roleplay that violated their rules, and I got banned.

They monitor what happens on the platform, including words that are typed and things that are said, and they caught what we were doing.

At the time, Chaturbate was my number-one source of income, so I had to find another site quickly.

That’s when I went to CamSoda, and I haven’t looked back.

Gary: Can you say what the roleplay was?

Tatted Ava: It was forced-intercourse roleplay. I want to make it clear that it was fantasy and roleplay. I would never condone actual sexual assault.

Gary: How did that come about?

Tatted Ava: It was a recurring client of mine. I really value my clients and the relationships I have with them, and I try to give them what they want within my boundaries.

There are certain things I absolutely don’t do, like underage roleplay or anything involving animals.

The Strange Things Models Encounter Online

Tatted Ava: I used to stream on LiveJasmin, and that’s where I encountered a lot of people involving animals.

I’ve never experienced that on Chaturbate or CamSoda, but on LiveJasmin it happened several times.

Sometimes we’d just be video chatting and suddenly they’d show me something involving an animal. I’d immediately click off.

Gary: I’m blown away that it was LiveJasmin. Out of all the websites, I never would have guessed that.

Tatted Ava: Yeah. It happened to me several times there.

Gary: I’ve seen some crazy shit myself. You almost have to become numb to some of it.

Tatted Ava: I think that’s why I’m able to talk so openly about some of these things. I’ve experienced so much of it.

Why CamSoda Works for Ava

Gary: So after LiveJasmin, you went to CamSoda?

Tatted Ava: I was actually doing LiveJasmin and Chaturbate at the same time for a while. I wanted to see which platform worked better for me.

I gave LiveJasmin a good month or two, but I didn’t like it.

Gary: Why?

Tatted Ava: They take a huge cut. At the time, it was around 60 to 70%.

Gary: Seventy percent?!

Tatted Ava: Yeah. If you made $500, you’d only get around $150 of it.

Gary: Holy shit.

Tatted Ava: I said, “Fuck that.” I was working for hours and keeping such a small percentage.

That’s one reason I really like CamSoda.

It’s a token-based site like Chaturbate, but I think the platform feels more modern and clean.

The traffic is good, they treat their models well, and I’ve been featured on the site.

They’ve also sent me a Lush and some merchandise.

Becoming a CamSoda Featured Model

Gary: Is that something they do for everyone?

Tatted Ava: There’s something called the CamSoda Star. You can get it by making a lot of money during your first hour or by making a lot of money in a short period of time.

When I first joined, I kept becoming CamSoda Star, so the site started recognizing me.

Eventually, an admin reached out and asked if I wanted to become a featured model.

I said yes, and they started promoting me on the front page every week for an hour.

We basically built a relationship from there.

Gary: So they actually recognized what you were doing.

Tatted Ava: Exactly.

They also give bonuses to top performers. There are different bonuses, including some that can be several thousand dollars.

Gary: Who doesn’t love a bonus?

Tatted Ava: Exactly. It’s great.

Finding Your Niche

Gary: What’s your niche?

Tatted Ava: I’m a really big dirty talker.

Gary: I didn’t expect that.

Tatted Ava: You should have known when I started talking about lactation.

Gary: I don’t know. I would’ve guessed something more generic, like brunette, tattoos, whatever. I didn’t think “dirty talker.”

Tatted Ava: That’s what I’m known for.

And this is something I think can help other models. When you establish what you do, you find your people much quicker.

When someone comes into my room, they know exactly what they’re getting. I give them a reason to come back.

I’m very submissive, and my character is basically this super-submissive, dirty-talking freak.

As soon as I press broadcast, I’m already talking.

Gary: So you don’t just sit there waiting for someone to tip?

Tatted Ava: No. I get right into it.

I’ve learned that the longer you sit around waiting for something to happen, the longer it takes to make money.

I prefer to work intensely for a shorter amount of time. I can cam for an hour and a half and hit my goal.

Gary: That’s not very long for a cam model.

Tatted Ava: I have ADHD. My mind constantly needs to be doing something.

Teasing Instead of Giving Everything Away

Gary: Is CamSoda similar to Chaturbate in that you have free chat, people hanging around, and people who tip?

Tatted Ava: Yeah. In free chat, you have the freedom to do whatever you want within the site’s rules.

But personally, I tease.

I don’t just start broadcasting with everything on display. I’ll tease people until they tip for what they’re asking for, and I’ll verbally encourage it through dirty talk.

I’m psychologically putting the idea in their mind without actually showing it.

Gary: So you’re psychologically manipulating these guys?

Tatted Ava: Yeah.

Gary: I love that.

Tatted Ava: They’re looking for that experience, so I’m giving them what they’re looking for while still making them pay for it.

“You Teach the Chat How to Treat You”

Gary: Do you read the chat and adjust based on what people are saying?

Tatted Ava: Absolutely.

One thing that helps me is watching myself on camera. I can see how I’m performing and how seductive I’m being.

As far as the chat goes, I pay attention to whoever tips me.

You’re teaching the chat how to treat you.

If you spend all night talking to people who aren’t paying, they’ll think they can sit there and talk to you for free all night.

I’ll say hi once or twice. If someone doesn’t tip, I’ll move on.

If someone else tips, I’ll give that person my attention.

That teaches the room that if they want my attention, they need to participate.

Gary: I’ve never heard it put that way, but that makes total sense.

Tatted Ava: It’s the same thing in life. You teach people how to treat you.

You control the room, and you have to communicate with the chat without necessarily saying it directly.

Learning What Works

Gary: How did you figure all of this out?

Tatted Ava: Over four years of camming.

I analyze a lot when I’m working. I watch what’s happening and pay attention to reactions.

When I find something that works, I keep doing it.

That’s what I’ve created over the years.

Gary: I tried doing that. Normally I just do what I do, but then I started trying to analyze everything while I’m doing it.

I’d think, “How are they reacting? How can I play off that?”

It just fucks me up.

Tatted Ava: For me, I think I’m just used to it.

I used to cam for seven hours a day. I wasn’t always an hour-and-a-half or two-hour streamer.

I used to cam basically every day, Monday through Sunday.

You have to put in the hours in the beginning. It takes time to get to this point.

It took me four years to develop this.

From Seven-Hour Streams to Working Smarter

Gary: Seven hours a day is insane.

Tatted Ava: It was.

Gary: But you weren’t just sitting there for seven hours. You were learning what worked.

Tatted Ava: Exactly.

It’s an art. Everybody has their own style.

I look at it like you’re creating your own world. When someone clicks into your room, they don’t know anything that’s happening outside of that screen.

They don’t know who you are or what’s happening beyond your room.

You get to create this world, and you choose how you want to be perceived.

For me, camming is about control.

Gary: You’re in control.

Tatted Ava: Exactly.

Finding Confidence and Setting Boundaries

Tatted Ava: In the beginning, I didn’t understand any of that.

I would sit there in a sexy outfit and maybe touch myself a little. It felt like forever.

I hadn’t found my confidence yet. I didn’t know my niche. I hadn’t figured out who I was in the sex industry.

I was young, I had tattoos, I was having babies, and everything was changing.

It took a long time to figure myself out.

And yes, seven-hour streams were exhausting. Energy drinks became my backbone.

Gary: You could probably get an energy drink sponsorship.

Tatted Ava: I would love that.

Gary: But during those seven-hour days, you were also figuring out what worked and what didn’t.

Tatted Ava: Exactly.

In the beginning, I didn’t understand how to control the room.

I’d talk to people for hours without them tipping. I thought if I talked to them long enough, eventually they’d pay.

I was basically doing things for free and hoping they’d pay later.

It was a mess.

The Moment Ava Started Valuing Her Time

Gary: So what changed?

Tatted Ava: Honestly, I got fed up.

I was working all these hours and making money, but I knew I should be making much more.

I started realizing that people were taking advantage of me. They’d talk to me without paying and ask me to do things for free because they knew I was new.

Eventually, I got tired of it.

That’s when I started finding my confidence and establishing my boundaries.

It wasn’t one specific moment. It happened gradually.

I finally said, “No. You’re going to pay for this.”

I started valuing myself and my time more.

That’s what changed everything for me.

Turning Requests Into Tips

Gary: So what did you actually start doing differently?

Tatted Ava: For example, someone would say, “Show me your tits.”

In the beginning, I’d just do it and hope they’d tip.

Eventually I realized, “No. You pay me first.”

So instead of saying no, I’d say something like, “Of course I’d love to show you. I know you’d love it too. Tip for it and I’ll do it.”

I started affirming what they wanted and then directing them toward the tip.

It became a kind of reverse psychology.

Gary: That’s brilliant.

Tatted Ava: You say yes to them while still making it clear that there’s a price attached to what they want.

Gary: Someone could even make up a character and say, “My pimp won’t let me. You have to go to the tip menu.”

Tatted Ava: Exactly.

Gary: That’s fucking brilliant.

Using Dirty Talk to Drive the Tip

Tatted Ava: I don’t really say “tip menu” anymore.

Now I’ll use dirty talk instead.

I’ll tell them what I want them to do to me and describe how good it feels. That encourages them to tip for it.

It’s basically creating the fantasy through the conversation.

Gary: So you’re getting them to tip by making them feel like they’re giving you what you want.

Tatted Ava: Exactly.

The “20 Guys” Marketing Story

Gary: I have to ask you about something I saw during my research.

Did 20 dudes really run a train on you?

Tatted Ava: I get that question all the time.

Gary: I saw that and thought, “I have to ask.”

Tatted Ava: It worked.

I used to be with an OnlyFans agency, and although I’m not with them anymore, they taught me a lot about marketing.

They taught me about getting reactions, making people curious, and getting people talking.

The “20 guys” thing was a marketing tactic.

Gary: So it wasn’t real?

Tatted Ava: No. It never happened.

It was designed to make people curious enough to comment, Google me, and ultimately find my OnlyFans.

Gary: So people see something like “Tatted Ava got trained by 20 guys” and immediately want to know what the hell that’s about.

Tatted Ava: Exactly.

There’s actually nothing to find because it didn’t happen. But you might find my OnlyFans while you’re looking.

Gary: That’s clever marketing.

The OnlyFans Agency Experience

Gary: You said you’re not with that agency anymore. Was it a bad experience?

Tatted Ava: Yeah. They basically scammed me.

I actually have a YouTube video about it.

I met a girl online who contacted me through Instagram. She watched my YouTube videos and asked me about camming.

She did OnlyFans, so I started asking her questions about it.

She told me she was with an agency that helped her with everything, including promotion and management.

I was new to OnlyFans and thought I could use the help, so I asked if they were accepting new models.

Her manager contacted me a few days later and wanted to have a video call.

The agency was based in the UK.

Gary: That probably should’ve been a red flag.

Tatted Ava: Looking back, maybe.

But the guy seemed completely legitimate. He had a professional-looking office, a big Instagram following, and he seemed like he knew what he was doing.

He told me they’d promote me, market me, manage everything, handle my OnlyFans chatting, and post my content.

Basically, all I had to do was make whatever content they requested.

I thought, “Fuck yeah. Sign me up.”

They took 50% of my OnlyFans earnings.

I agreed because I thought the remaining 50% would still be more than I was making on my own.

When the Agency Failed to Deliver

Tatted Ava: The problem was that they started promising things they never actually did.

I’d ask when they were going to market me, and they’d say they were waiting for a video on my Instagram to go viral.

They kept putting it off.

The only thing they were really doing was chatting on my OnlyFans.

The chatters were also sending my fans the same content over and over again.

People would pay for something and then get the exact same content again later.

I lost fans because of it.

People were saying, “I just paid $50 and you’re sending me the same thing I paid for last week.”

Then they told me they’d made TikToks and Instagram accounts for me.

I asked them for the usernames.

One of the managers told me they’d deleted them because they weren’t getting views.

Gary: Why would you delete all of that?

Tatted Ava: Exactly.

That was the moment I was done.

Agency vs. Building Your Own Team

Gary: I see a lot of people claiming they have an OnlyFans agency and that they’ll promote models.

I’ve only heard of a few that seem legitimate.

Tatted Ava: I think instead of giving an agency 50%, you’re better off finding people for specific jobs.

Hire someone for marketing.

Hire a content manager.

Hire a chatter.

Pick and choose who you actually need instead of giving an agency control over everything.

Gary: Especially if they’re taking half your income.

Tatted Ava: Exactly.

I’ve been doing everything myself for the last month, and I’m still making good money.

You just have to balance your time and put the work in.

But you get to keep more of the money.

The Reality of Running Your Own Business

Gary: But it takes a lot of time.

Tatted Ava: It does.

Making content, promoting yourself, marketing, responding to fans, TikTok Lives, Instagram, TikTok, Snapchat… there’s always something.

I find myself pulling away from social media sometimes.

I’ll go hard for a couple weeks and then pull back.

It’s a completely different world when you’re constantly immersed in the industry.

Sometimes I need to reconnect with my authentic self and reality.

It can become really consuming.

Self-Care and Protecting Your Peace

Gary: How difficult is it to balance everything?

Tatted Ava: Sometimes it’s overwhelming.

I’ll get to a point where I shut down from the world.

I won’t respond to people. I won’t post.

I’ll get so overwhelmed that I basically shut down, and then I have to build myself back up again.

That’s why I talk so much about self-care and self-love.

You’re constantly giving pieces of yourself away.

You’re talking to people, stroking their egos, trying to turn them on, looking good for them, and giving them your attention.

At some point, you have to remember that you’re still a human being.

I’m still a woman.

I still want to protect my peace.

Sometimes I need to bring some of that energy back to myself.

Gary: I never really thought about it that way.

The Hustle and the Adrenaline

Tatted Ava: At the same time, you find the love for the game.

I love to hustle.

It’s in my nature.

I love the hustle, the reward, and seeing how much I can make today.

I’m a hustler at heart.

Gary: It’s the adrenaline rush.

Tatted Ava: Exactly.

Gary’s Other Life as Pervert Pete

Gary: I don’t cam, but I have this other thing I do called Pervert Pete.

I bounce back and forth between this and Pervert Pete.

Right now I’m completely into this because I’m fascinated by the industry. But eventually I’ll lose that adrenaline rush and go back to Pervert Pete.

Tatted Ava: What’s Pervert Pete?

Gary: It’s a character I created.

I wear a ski mask and suspenders. I get into character and go on sites like OmeTV, which is kind of like what Omegle used to be.

I started doing it about 10 years ago.

It blew up. I got over 100,000 YouTube subscribers and received the YouTube Play Button.

Then my channel was terminated about six years ago.

My income basically disappeared, and it was a horrible time.

A couple months ago, I found my old email account and saw that the channel was still listed as suspended.

I clicked on it and saw an option to appeal.

I thought, “It’s been six years. Fuck it. I’ll appeal.”

I wrote my appeal and used ChatGPT to clean it up because I’m terrible at putting things into words.

Twenty-four hours later, YouTube said they had reinstated the channel.

Tatted Ava: No way!

Gary: Yeah. A channel that had been dead for six years.

I went to the channel and everything was back. All the old videos were there.

Tatted Ava: That’s crazy.

Gary: It was completely unexpected.

A few weeks later, I checked monetization and somehow I was eligible again.

So I turned it back on.

Building Two Different Worlds

Tatted Ava: I’m the same way. I have so many interests.

Gary: Exactly. It’s easier to focus on one thing at a time, but your brain wants to do five other things.

Tatted Ava: You can’t neglect either one because then it’ll fall apart.

Gary: Exactly.

I’m so hyper-focused on building this right now, but I know eventually I’m going to want to go back to Pervert Pete.

In fact, I’m probably going live as Pervert Pete right after this.

Tatted Ava: Why?

Gary: I haven’t promoted it. Nobody may even show up.

Tatted Ava: But you want to do it.

Gary: Exactly. I don’t give a fuck. I just want to do it.

Tatted Ava: Sometimes you get to a point where you don’t even care whether you get paid right now. You just want to do it because you enjoy it.

Gary: Exactly.

The Future of Cam Modeling

Tatted Ava: Honestly, I think there are more cam models and OnlyFans models joining every day, and I don’t think the industry is going anywhere anytime soon.

I don’t think AI is going to replace the human connection of camming.

People love that human interaction.

They want a customized experience.

AI doesn’t give you the same human connection.

Gary: Yeah.

Tatted Ava: And I think if you keep doing this podcast, you could make it really big.

There’s a podcaster named Holly Randall who interviews porn stars.

She grew her audience tremendously over the years, and it’s basically interviews with people from the adult industry.

I think this could become really big for you.

Gary: Thank you.

The funny thing is, I didn’t start it specifically to help cam girls.

I was just interested in the crazy stories and how wild the industry was.

But eventually the audience became cam girls who wanted to hear the stories and learn from the guests.

And that’s pretty cool.

Why the Podcast Evolved

Tatted Ava: I love learning from other people, so I understand why people would want that.

Gary: Yeah.

Tatted Ava: I actually watched your channel about a year ago because I wanted to hear other people’s stories.

That’s how I found you guys.

Gary: Yeah, there was another person doing interviews for a while.

Tatted Ava: I remember that.

Gary: I originally thought that would work because I don’t think I’m particularly good at interviewing.

I love doing it, but I’m not necessarily good at it.

I’m better at producing, editing, and doing the behind-the-scenes stuff.

I don’t know the camming industry well enough to ask some of the more specific questions.

That’s why I’m constantly asking things like, “What the fuck is CamSoda?”

Tatted Ava: I think you’ve done a great job.

Gary: Thank you.

I just think someone who knows the industry might be able to ask more focused questions.

When the Interviewer Becomes the Interviewee

Gary: Anyway, that’s why I eventually stopped doing it that way.

Tatted Ava: You’re really beating around the bush right now.

Gary: I don’t want to talk shit.

Tatted Ava: Just say it.

Gary: Fine. I talked about lactation and dogs licking penises. I can say it.

Tatted Ava: There you go.

Gary: The person who was doing the interviews just couldn’t handle it.

There were several interviews where things went wrong. Sometimes the recording didn’t happen. Other times the microphone didn’t work.

I tried to help, but I wasn’t really allowed to get involved.

Eventually I just said, “Fuck it. I’ll do it myself.”

Tatted Ava: Sometimes you just have to do it your way.

Gary: Exactly.

And honestly, I like doing these interviews because it’s fun.

I get to meet people and see what it’s like on the other side.

Tatted Ava: And people are definitely going to learn from this episode.

Gary: Especially that whole technique you explained about talking to people and teaching the room how to treat you.

That’s really insightful.

Tatted Ava’s Advice for Cam Models

Tatted Ava: I actually have a YouTube channel called That Cam Girl, where I give tips and advice to cam models.

Gary: We’ll have the link in the description.

I’ve checked out your stuff before, and I wanted to have you on for a while.

I’m glad we finally made it happen.

Tatted Ava: Thank you for having me.

Ava Turns the Tables on Gary

Tatted Ava: Do you have any more questions for me?

Gary: I think I’ve asked everything I wanted to ask.

Tatted Ava: Do you want me to ask you some questions before we end?

Gary: I knew this was coming.

Tatted Ava: The tables have turned.

Gary: Somehow I’m being interviewed now. That’s not how this was supposed to go.

Tatted Ava: Reverse psychology.

Gary: You’re good at this.

What Got Gary Interested in Cam Girls

Tatted Ava: Have you ever watched cam models? What got you interested in interviewing cam girls?

Gary: I guess it started way back in the early 2000s.

There were these women called the Lightspeed Girls. They worked for the Lightspeed Agency and did softcore adult content.

One of the women I remember was Jordan Capri.

What fascinated me was what happened to their lives afterward.

The whole story made me realize that this industry wasn’t simply about showing your body online.

There are serious consequences to having a digital footprint.

That really got me interested.

Tatted Ava: Your digital footprint is definitely out there.

Gary: Exactly.

Tatted Ava: Ava is my stage name, but if you search for Ava Eve, I’m everywhere.

My videos, photos, lives, everything.

And that’s actually good for traffic.

At this point, I think about it differently.

There are famous adult performers whose entire bodies have been seen by millions of people.

I think, “What’s the difference if people see me?”

If somebody searches for me, that’s their choice.

They choose what they type, what they click, and what they watch.

That’s how I look at it.

How Cam Girl Diaries Started

Gary: Eventually my wife and I started checking out Chaturbate.

We were basically looking for the weirdest stuff we could find.

And we found a lot of weird stuff.

That made me think, “Holy shit. I need to start asking people about this.”

I wanted to know how weird the industry really was.

That’s basically how Cam Girl Diaries started.

At first, I wanted the crazy stories, the weird stuff, the funny experiences, and the unbelievable things people were into.

Then the show evolved.

The audience started wanting tips, advice, and information about how to actually succeed as a cam model.

Tatted Ava: That’s really cool how it evolved.

Gary: Yeah.

And honestly, I’m still more interested in the crazy stories.

Give me the weird shit. Give me the crazy shit.

I’m curious.

Wrapping Up

Gary: Do you have any crazy stories you want to share?

Tatted Ava: We could go there if you want.

Gary: You know what? I think you’ve already given us enough.

Your advice is probably more valuable to the audience anyway.

Tatted Ava: Good.

Gary: Although I am curious. Maybe we’ll save some of the crazy stories for another episode.

Tatted Ava: If you ever want me back, you know how to get in touch with me.

I really enjoyed this. It was fun.

Gary: I’m glad you enjoyed it. I had a great time too.

Tatted Ava: I actually used to watch you about a year ago, so when you reached out to me, I was like, “Oh shit, yeah. I made it.”

Gary: You sure you haven’t watched Pervert Pete? “Oh shit, yeah” is one of his catchphrases.

Tatted Ava: Apparently me and Pervert Pete have a lot in common.

Gary: I don’t know if that’s a good thing.

Tatted Ava: Neither do I.

Gary: Well, I’m actually going to go cam before it gets too late.

Tatted Ava: Me too, just not in the same realm.

Gary: I’m not showing my tits.

Tatted Ava: Just your personality.

Gary: Tits are better, but all right.

Tatted Ava: Thank you so much for having me.

Gary: Thank you for doing this. This was great.

Everyone, check out Tatted Ava’s YouTube channel, Instagram, and other platforms. The links will be in the description.

Tatted Ava: Thank you so much.

Gary: Thanks for watching, and we’ll see you in the next one.
