Why This Episode Is Worth Watching

What makes this episode particularly useful for creators is that Amber doesn’t present one magic formula for success. Instead, she talks about what has actually worked for her and why she has changed her strategy when certain platforms, content types, or promotional methods weren’t worth the time.

For anyone looking for cam girl tips, this episode covers a lot of the day-to-day realities that don’t always get talked about: managing multiple platforms, promoting yourself on social media, dealing with customers, maintaining boundaries, creating content, and finding a sustainable work routine.

Amber’s discussion of OnlyFans tips and social-media promotion is especially useful for creators trying to turn followers into paying customers, while her experiences with different camming platforms provide insight into how audiences and customer behavior can vary from one platform to another.

And perhaps most importantly, the conversation addresses cam girl burnout. When your business depends on constantly being online, knowing how to step away can be just as important as knowing how to promote yourself.

Whether you’re a new cam girl, an experienced cam model, an OnlyFans creator, or simply curious about what happens behind the scenes, Episode #68 offers an honest look at the business, the fans, the platforms, and the person behind the screen.

Episode #68: Gary Gabagool & Amber Rivers

Host: Gary Gabagool
Guest: Amber Rivers

Welcome to Cam Girl Diaries

Gary Gabagool: Welcome to Cam Girl Diaries Podcast, your go-to podcast for everything in the adult entertainment industry, mostly camming, of course. Here we deep dive into the fascinating world of camming, offering insights, inspiring stories, and practical advice to support and empower content creators.

So, let’s get into it.

Amber Rivers, yes, that’s you.

Amber Rivers: Yes, that is me.

Gary: You’re on Instagram, obviously. That’s how we found each other. So, how did you start in the business?

Amber: It’s a funny story, really. I’m married. My husband kept showing me these articles from newspapers online. This was about four years ago, before we got married. He’d show me things saying, “Oh, look how much this person’s made on OnlyFans.”

And I’m like, “I don’t even know what that is.”

So, I just left it.

Then we got married, and we decided to look into it and set up a page just for fun. And here we are.

It kind of took off without us really knowing it would. Eventually, I ended up quitting my job and doing this full-time.

Gary: So when you started, you basically thought, “All right, let me just throw some stuff on OnlyFans,” and that was it?

Amber: Yeah. That’s it.

Gary: Wow. So you put stuff on OnlyFans, but how did people find you?

Amber: Exactly. Before all of this, I had no social media. Not at all. I had to figure out how to use everything. I didn’t even have a personal Instagram account. I didn’t have a clue how to use any of it.

I set up OnlyFans and thought, “Right, how do I reach people?”

I started on Reddit and got a few subscribers from there. Then I ended up getting Instagram, TikTok, and the whole shebang.

Now I have a lot of social media accounts.

Gary: So they’re finding you everywhere?

Amber: Yeah. Here, there, everywhere.

My main job is camming. I do live webcamming, and then OnlyFans is the bit on the side.

Gary: What platforms do you live cam on?

Amber: Streamate, Playboy, ManyVids. There are so many. Stripchat is my main one alongside Streamate. Chaturbate too. I’m on a lot of sites, but I don’t do them all at once.

Building a Multi-Platform Business

Gary: I saw that you have ManyVids. I’m not too familiar with it. You basically put your videos up there and people can buy them?

Amber: Yeah. It’s handy because some people don’t like buying through OnlyFans because it shows up on their bank statement as OnlyFans. A lot of people don’t want that on their bank statement.

So you’ve got to find other resources and ways to sell your videos without that coming up.

Gary: But you can’t promote that shit on OnlyFans, right?

Amber: No, no. It’s all separate.

Gary: So you’ve got to funnel them through however you can.

Amber: Exactly.

Gary: That sounds complicated.

Amber: It’s very complicated.

A lot of my OnlyFans subscribers come through my cam sites, though. They’ll find me on cam and then go and find my OnlyFans. That helps if I’m too busy to promote on social media and stuff.

Gary: So mostly the live camming is where you can push people toward your other stuff?

Amber: Yeah, but you’ve got to be careful because you’re still not allowed to say, “Go see my OnlyFans.” You’re not allowed to promote it directly.

People just kind of know you’re camming and that you’ve got other sites.

Gary: Right. So wherever you’re live streaming, you use Beacons?

Amber: Yes. I have all my links there as well.

People can click on that and find all my stuff. Or I can say, “Go follow me on Instagram,” and then they’ll see my Instagram bio and the links there.

It’s a whole funneling process.

Gary: That’s what I mean. It’s so complicated. How do you simplify it?

Amber: There really isn’t a simple way. You’ve just got to keep promoting and hope someone clicks a link.

You’ve just got to keep it simple, I guess.

I’m in a community, an S-X chat group of girls, where we all talk about this stuff. We help each other out, like, “This isn’t working. How do I do this?” That’s helped massively.

And it’s like when you see a pair of shoes scrolling through Instagram and you click on them. You don’t want to be taken to the shop homepage. You want that specific pair of shoes you liked.

It’s the same thing with links. You want the link right there in front of their eyes rather than making them scroll through a bunch of other links.

Gary: That definitely makes sense.

Amber: Especially with men as well. They like it simple. You’ve got to keep it easy. They get distracted otherwise.

Stripchat vs. Streamate

Gary: Out of all the live sites you use, do you have a favorite?

Amber: Stripchat. I’ve been doing it pretty consistently for the past three years.

Streamate is more recent. I’ve been doing that a bit more lately.

Those are my two main sites.

Gary: What’s special about them for you?

Amber: Stripchat has a nice community. I’ve got a nice group of people who tip me constantly. It’s like a little community. They all come on and ask how your day has been.

We always have a nice little chat about daily life. It’s not just me laying on my back doing stuff, you know what I mean?

Streamate is a bit different. You sit there and people come into your room and wait for them to take you private.

You’ll do a one-to-one cam show with them, whatever they want to see. That’s more intimate, I guess, because you get to see them on the other side of the cam if they want to turn their cam on.

Stripchat went a bit quiet for me because it’s a third-party site. It gets promoted through XHamster and other porn sites, so you get loads of freeloaders on there just sitting and watching your show for free.

Streamate isn’t like that. You get big tippers who just want to take you private. They don’t haggle over prices. They just take you private because they want to see you.

Gary: That sounds like what you want.

Amber: Yeah.

Gary: So if Stripchat and Streamate are working, why go to other platforms?

Amber: Streamate is my most recent one. I’ve been on there since November, and it’s doing really well.

If it isn’t broke, don’t try to fix it. Stay on that.

It was like that with Stripchat. It got a little bit quiet, and I thought, “I’m going to have to sign up for something else because I need that income coming in from camming.”

You just move through the different sites. If one place is quiet, you go somewhere else, then go back to that place later.

It’s about finding what works because everyone’s different. Some people do amazing on Stripchat, but then it gets quiet, they go to another site, and then they come back and do amazing on Stripchat again.

It fluctuates massively.

Chaturbate and Multistreaming

Gary: How was your experience on Chaturbate?

Amber: Okay. I feel like it takes one person to come in and change the room on Chaturbate.

There are loads of people just sitting there and not tipping. I ended up stopping that for a little while.

You can do ticket shows and things as well, where you set a price and people join your show, but there’s quite a lot of freeloading.

I still find Chaturbate is my quietest one.

I used to stream on Stripchat and Chaturbate at the same time, but when Stripchat was busy, it got too much. I couldn’t cope with everyone talking to me and tipping for different things.

I was like, “Oh my God.”

So I like to keep it simple.

Gary: That’s a good problem to have, but some people are on six sites or even more. I don’t know how they do it.

Amber: It’s mental.

I’m not with a studio either. I do everything myself. I set everything up myself.

Gary: And it seems like it’s going pretty well?

Amber: Yeah, it’s good.

OnlyFans, Fansly, ManyVids and More

Gary: So you’ve got your cam sites, OnlyFans, ManyVids. Is that basically the three components?

Amber: I also have Fansly, Playboy, LoyalFans, and a few others.

I’ve got two OnlyFans accounts as well. I have a paid page and a free page.

Gary: What’s the point of having both a free and paid OnlyFans?

Amber: My free page is something I’ve started more recently.

My page used to be free, but I found that when I put up pay-per-view posts, nobody was buying them.

So I changed my tactic. I made the page paid and put everything on there with no pay-per-view.

That works for me. That’s what I’ve been doing for the past three years.

My price is about $9 a month, and they just see everything on my page. I post it and that’s it.

The free page works differently. It’s basically teasers.

Also, if your social media accounts ever get banned, it’s handy to have the free OnlyFans because if your Instagram ever gets banned, you’ve still got those fans there on your page.

Gary: Right.

Amber: I’ll post teaser pictures and say, “If you want to unlock this post, unlock it,” or “Go to my paid page to see everything.”

It’s another little funnel before they get to the paid page.

Gary: That makes sense. And money-wise, that seems better. You go to someone’s paid page and get all the content.

Amber: Yeah. Thousands of pieces of content.

Gary: I don’t really understand pay-per-view. I guess it works for some people.

Amber: A thousand percent. It works really well for a lot of creators I know.

It doesn’t work for me.

I have so many sites that I’m on that I don’t have time to upsell every single video and every single photo set that I make.

I find it easier just to make a video. I film a lot while I’m on cam as well, so that becomes a video that goes on OnlyFans.

I’m making use of all the content I can.

I just find it easier to stick it on my OnlyFans and say, “There you go. Have it.”

Gary: So if you record a video, you cross-post it everywhere?

Amber: Yeah. Everywhere.

Gary: So you don’t necessarily make something special for one specific platform?

Amber: I will make certain videos, like a JOI video, and then I’ll post it everywhere. Customs that aren’t exclusive to a customer will also get posted.

I do get people asking me for customs. I do quite a lot of customs.

Weird Custom Requests

Gary: What’s the weirdest custom request you’ve ever gotten?

Amber: I do so many.

The only thing I don’t do, I’ve been asked to throw up, like deep-throat a dildo and be sick all over it.

That’s my hard no.

Gary: Why?

Amber: I can’t be sick. I hate sick.

I’ve been asked for period stuff, snot, picking my nose and eating it. Loads of things.

I could go on. There are so many.

But I don’t mind getting the weird customs. I don’t like making people feel bad because they have a fetish.

I’m all for telling me what you’re into. I just have some boundaries.

Gary: Yeah. You can always find someone else who will do it.

Amber: Exactly.

Gary: Guys have the weirdest fetishes.

Amber: Farting is a big one as well.

I’ve done a few of those. I’ve done a video call where I had to watch a guy fart.

Gary: You got paid to watch somebody fart?

Amber: Yeah. I like getting paid to watch people fart. Come on.

Gary: That’s amazing.

Amber: It was great.

I do love the weird ones, though.

Knowing What You’re Getting Into

Gary: For something like that, how do you know what they want? And how do you react?

Amber: Some of them tell me beforehand.

One particular guy tells me exactly what he wants. He wants me to make fun of him and say things like, “Oh my God, did you just hear what he just did?”

I’ll know before I go into whatever I’m doing.

I want to know what I’m getting myself into, so I’ll talk about things like that beforehand.

Gary: That’s good. You’re not going into it completely blind.

Amber: Exactly.

I’ve had that happen before, especially on cam. People will take me private on Streamate, open their cam and start doing things, and I’ll just be sitting there thinking, “Holy shit. I did not expect to see that right now.”

Gary: That’s probably what they want too, right?

Amber: Exactly. It’s the element of surprise.

I’ve had a few things like that.

I don’t know if you’ve ever heard of sounding?

Gary: What?

Amber: They’ll stick rods up there, and you have to watch it.

Gary: Why?

Amber: I don’t know. I don’t know what it feels like for a man, but it makes my insides just do this.

Gary: It’s making me hurt just thinking about it.

Amber: And you have to watch that.

That was an interesting one.

Another one was a guy who was in his car with a massive black dildo up his ass. I was not expecting that.

I’m all for your kink, but warn me. Don’t just put your ass in my face without warning.

Gary: They’re definitely paying for the reaction.

Amber: Yeah.

Gary: I’ve noticed guys with really big dicks will do that a lot of the time too.

Amber: Am I allowed to say all this on here, by the way?

Gary: Sure. We keep it real. I’m all about the real.

Language is language. We don’t mean it disrespectfully. If someone wants to put a dildo up his ass, that’s his business.

Amber: Exactly.

Boundaries, Harassment and Dangerous Requests

Gary: You seem pretty upbeat about everything. Do you get people who are actually disrespectful to you?

Amber: Oh, yeah. All the time.

I get a lot of race-play requests, and that’s a hard no for me now. I find those people can be the worst in private. They’ll say things to me that I can’t say on cam and try to intimidate me into saying them.

I’m like, “No. I’m not doing that. Thanks.”

Then I’ll just end the call.

People also want me to pretend that they’re going to rape me. That’s a hard no.

Gary: Rape doesn’t seem fun to me.

Amber: No. It’s so weird.

Gary: I guess it’s better that they’re doing it on cam than in real life, but it’s still mental.

Amber: Yeah. If they want to do that on camera, it’s possible they probably want to do it in real life.

I’ve had people banned and reported as well for sending me pictures involving animals.

I’m like, “Oh my God. I’m just going to take the day off after this.”

People will just send a picture with no warning.

Gary: Why would they do that?

Amber: I don’t know.

Sometimes they’ll hint that they’re into that, and I’ll just ignore them.

Other people will simply send pictures of illegal or abusive things.

Gary: What’s the point?

Amber: I don’t know. Maybe they get some kind of reaction out of being reported or being “naughty” like that.

I just don’t get it.

Gary: If they’re trying to impress you, they’re going about it the wrong way.

Amber: Exactly.

Gary: Do you at least get paid somehow, or do they just send you a DM?

Amber: No. They just send a picture. I don’t get paid for that.

Gary: That makes it even worse.

It’s basically on the same level as unsolicited dick pics.

Amber: The amount of them I get every day is insane.

A Day in the Life of a Cam Model

Gary: Is this part of your normal day? What’s a normal day like for you?

Amber: I have two kids. They’ll get up, I’ll sort them out, take them to school, get ready and go on cam between 10 and 2 while they’re at school.

Then it’s mental trying to catch up with all my social media messages and posting on every platform.

On top of that, I’m trying to be a mom and a wife and deal with a million after-school clubs.

It’s pretty insane.

Gary: That sounds like a lot.

Amber: I enjoy it.

I work so many hours, but I wouldn’t go back to a normal job.

Gary: When do you read all those DMs? Is it just constant notifications all day?

Amber: It’s not constant like that.

I’ll set a certain time of the day where I’ll go on and check.

I have a few regulars that I talk to every day, and I’ll speak to them whenever.

I’ve got a few people who have been with me for years, basically since I started doing this. I’ll speak to them pretty much daily.

Then I’ll catch up with other people while I’m on cam if it’s quiet, or when I sit down in bed.

That’s normally not until around 11 p.m., but I do it whenever I have time.

When Is the Best Time to Cam?

Gary: You stream during the day. Is that a good time to stream?

Amber: It depends on where in the world your audience is.

I’m normally still online around this time.

Gary: What time is it where you are?

Amber: It’s about 8:30 in the morning.

Gary: There you go. All the Americans are just waking up.

Amber: Exactly. I’m here and ready.

I get quite a lot of people from the U.S. doing privates on Streamate.

A lot of people on Stripchat were from the UK, especially people working from home.

That time works for me. It doesn’t work for some people, but it works for me.

Gary: That’s great if it fits into your schedule. Having to do this outside of your schedule can really bring you down.

Amber: Yeah. I love it.

It’s tiring, though. It’s a lot of hours.

People say, “Oh, you have the easiest job in the world.”

I’d love for you to do my job for a day or two and then tell me the same thing.

I have three Instagrams, a Twitter, two TikToks, and then all my other pages.

You’ve got to post on all of them daily.

It’s a lot.

Social Media and Beacons

Gary: You mentioned two TikToks and all your other accounts. I was looking at your Beacons link on Instagram, and it doesn’t have everything.

Amber: I change it.

I’m very random and sporadic. Everyone who knows me knows I’m probably the most random person ever.

I’ll put my main links on there.

I also have an Instagram that’s the same name, Amber Rivers, and then another link at the end that has all my links on it.

That includes my affiliate links.

I have an Amazon storefront. I’m an affiliate for Lovehoney and a few other toy companies. Splash Blanket is another one.

All those links are on there.

Gary: So they’re just random?

Amber: Yeah. That’s me.

Gary: That’s good. Looking at your Instagram, you wouldn’t necessarily think you’re a cam girl.

Your Instagram is great.

Amber: I’d like it to be better. I’ve always tried to make it more aesthetically pleasing. I just can’t do it.

I’m so unapologetically me.

What you see now is what you get on cam and on any of my sites.

I’m not managed by anyone. I like doing all the replies and everything myself.

I make a point of being me everywhere.

Everyone knows I’m random as fuck.

Gary: So basically your online persona is you?

Amber: Yeah. I don’t change.

Gary: It works. People love you for you.

Amber: My personality sells me.

Gary: For some people, creating a character or persona works.

Amber: A thousand percent.

But being real works for me.

I hate role-play because I can’t do it.

If someone asks me to do something like a daddy role-play or another type of role-play, I’ll say, “Yeah, I’ll give it a go.”

Then I get into it and I’m like, “I don’t know what to say.”

It just doesn’t come naturally to me.

Any sort of role-play, I’m not very good at it.

So I try to stick to more normal stuff.

Gary: What works for you.

Amber: Exactly.

I do think being authentic is a massive thing for me.

I like to stay authentic and true to myself. I’ve always stayed on that path, and I don’t plan on changing.

Dealing With Hate on Social Media

Gary: Your Instagram looks professional without being overly produced.

Amber: That’s exactly how I want it.

Gary: It fits your whole persona.

Amber: Yeah.

There’s so much hate on there at the minute, though. There’s so much hate on TikTok for being skinny or having small boobs.

The amount of comments saying, “Eat a meal.”

I do!

Why are you shaming me?

Gary: Who cares? If I’m looking at your picture, I don’t care whether you’re eating or not.

Amber: Exactly.

Gary: I don’t understand people.

Amber: I don’t either.

The Dream of an Animal Rescue Farm

Gary: I also noticed something on your Instagram. Are you building a home for rescued animals?

Amber: No, I’m not. That’s what I want to do.

That’s my future dream, though. I’m saving up some money for that.

Gary: That’s a good cause to have.

Amber: I have a dog and two horses. Rescuing animals is something I’ve always wanted to do.

Having a farm is the dream.

Gary: That makes sense.

Maybe that’s why you’re getting those animal-related people contacting you. I saw the picture of your horse and maybe somebody saw that and thought you were into that.

Amber: Yeah.

Which is even weirder because why would an animal lover want to do that?

Gary: I don’t get it either.

Stalkers and Obsessive Fans

Gary: Have you ever had a stalker?

Amber: I’ve never had a stalker actually out and about trying to find me.

But online, yeah. I’ve had a few people I’ve had to step away from.

Customers will constantly ask, “Why aren’t you replying? Why aren’t you replying?”

You’re not paying me to reply. I reply in my free time.

I’ve had a few people get a little obsessive.

I just draw a line and ignore them.

They normally go away.

Gary: If you see somebody starting to cross a line, do you put them in their place right then?

Amber: Yeah.

If they’re getting too pushy, I’ll say, “Look, if you want my time, you pay to chat. This isn’t a dating site. This is my job.”

I’ll be pretty blunt with them.

Gary: That seems like a good tactic.

Amber: Yeah.

There are a few people I trust completely. I’ve built some really good friendships from this.

But people who don’t respect me, I don’t really trust.

You just get a vibe about people, don’t you?

If they start getting pushy, it’s a no.

Gary: A lot of girls don’t address it, and then it just gets worse.

Amber: Exactly.

You’ve got to draw the line.

Once they get past the point of caring that you’ve said stop, they’ll just carry on anyway.

It’s easier to deal with it quickly.

The quicker you deal with it, the quicker it’s over and you can move on.

When Blocked Fans Create New Accounts

Amber: There are a few who still pop up.

They’ll make another Telegram account or another Twitter account, and I’ll see their username pop up and think, “I’ve already banned you three times.”

They’ll make another account just to come back and like my posts for a little bit.

Then I’ll just say, “Bye.”

Sometimes they’ll message me saying, “Hey, it’s me.”

And I’m like, “Yeah, I know.”

Gary: That’s weird.

Amber: Yeah. That’s when you know they’re getting a little obsessive.

Why would you go out of your way to set up another account just to come back and try to get my attention?

Sometimes they’ll like all my posts and comment on everything.

Gary: They definitely want your attention.

Amber: Maybe they’re trying to get a reaction out of me.

Gary: A lot of guys like getting a reaction.

Amber: Yeah.

But I’ll just ignore them.

Gary: That’s probably the best thing to do. Let it go away.

Amber: Exactly.

Even if I message them saying, “I blocked you. Why are you back?” they love that because they got my attention.

Gary: Exactly.

Amber: So I just don’t reply.

OnlyFans Subscribers

Gary: Do you deal with a lot of that type of stuff during your normal day?

Amber: No.

Most of my OnlyFans subscribers are actually pretty awesome.

Most of them won’t even chat.

I’ll put out a message saying, “Hi,” and I’ll get maybe two replies out of around 180 subscribers.

But that’s not a bad thing.

They joined to look at my content and stay subscribed. That’s okay with me.

Gary: Those are probably the best customers to have.

Amber: Yeah.

Everyone is different. They’re all subscribing for different reasons.

Where Are Your Fans Finding You?

Gary: Is Instagram your main source of new people, or do you know where most people find you?

Amber: I run polls on my OnlyFans quite a lot.

I’d say most are from TikTok.

My biggest following is on TikTok. It’s still not huge compared with some big creators, but I have around 64,000 on TikTok.

I think most people find me through there.

A few come through Instagram as well.

Gary: And you know that because you ask them through OnlyFans?

Amber: Yeah. I’ll do polls.

There are also tracking links you can use. You can link from TikTok to your Beacons or Linktree-type page, and you can track how many people are clicking through from TikTok.

Gary: Bitly?

Amber: Yeah, Bitly is one of them. I’ve used Rebrandly too.

Gary: That’s smart.

Amber: I don’t really have time to check where everyone is coming from. As long as they’re coming from somewhere, it’s okay.

Gary: But it is important to know where people are coming from. That way you know where to focus your time.

Amber: Yeah, I get that.

I’ve recently deleted a few platforms. I was on Fanvue and AdmireMe, but I deleted those because they just weren’t worth the time.

I had a few subscribers there, but after about a year I thought, “No. This isn’t worth my time anymore.”

So you stick to the mainstream ones that are doing well.

Don’t Waste Time on Platforms That Don’t Work

Gary: I’m glad you said that because that’s really important.

Amber: Yeah.

Gary: That can bog your mind down, especially when you’re cross-posting.

If you’re spending all that time posting on something that doesn’t work, eventually you’re thinking, “Oh God, I’ve got to do this, and this, and this.”

Cut that shit out.

Amber: Exactly.

I used to do it because I thought, “Just in case something happens to OnlyFans in the future, I’ve got that site.”

But it’s just not worth the time.

Gary: You’re so right.

I’ve been doing different types of content creation for years, and I’m still in that horrible habit of posting on shit just in case.

It infuriates me. It burns me out.

I’m thinking, “Why am I doing this? I’ve got all this other shit to do.”

Amber: Burnout is massive.

Some days I’ll just lie there and think, “I’m not going online today.”

I’m not sick or anything. I just want to do nothing.

I don’t want social media in my head.

I’ll just go down to the farm or something.

You need that time away from technology and social media sometimes.

Gary: Burnout is real as hell.

Amber: Especially with what you’re doing. If you’re doing all those different things in a short amount of time, it burns you out.

Gary: People don’t realize how time-consuming posting and answering messages is behind the scenes.

They see you on cam and think, “Oh, you’re only doing four hours on cam.”

Amber: I do more hours offline than I do online.

It’s mad.

Gary: It’s tough because you obviously enjoy it, but too much of something you enjoy can still be too much.

Amber: Exactly.

I don’t really class it as work.

But if someone likes golf, they’re not going to play it 24/7 because eventually they’re going to get bored and need a break.

You need that time out.

Gary: Definitely.

It sounds like you’ve really streamlined your business around what works and trying not to burn yourself out.

Amber: I try.

I’m my own worst enemy.

I can’t help it. I’m so active. My brain always has a million tabs open. I’m always doing something.

It’s like, “Just calm down.”

I’ll get into bed at about 11:30 at night, try to read my book, which I don’t do very often, and then I’ll fall asleep.

Then I’ll get annoyed because I fell asleep when I was trying to get some time for myself.

Gary: But you’ve got to enjoy what you do.

Amber: Yeah.

It makes it so much easier when you love what you do.

Advice for Shy Guys and People With Anxiety

Gary: I have a couple of questions to ask you.

First, this is completely different from camming.

Big Rick asks, “What advice would you give to guys who have severe anxiety talking to girls? How would you want them to approach you?”

Amber: That’s a tough question.

That’s actually one reason I love OnlyFans. It’s like porn, but with interaction.

You get the best of both worlds.

I have quite a lot of anxious, shy people on my OnlyFans.

The more you talk and do it, the easier it gets.

Some people who were really shy talking to me at the start are now some of my biggest chatters.

I’d say start with simply saying hi to people and getting to know the real, authentic person behind the screen.

Just don’t give a fuck. Go out and do it.

I’m actually a shy person. I’m really shy in real life.

If anyone met me in real life and said, “Oh, hi, Amber,” I’d probably shit myself.

You just have to do it.

Gary: How do you do this job if you’re shy?

Amber: I don’t know. I guess it helps because you’re behind a screen.

I am really shy in real life.

My husband has brought out so much confidence in me. I used to be so shy when I first met him.

I used to sleep fully clothed.

Not that that’s relevant to anything.

Gary: You’re an awkward person?

Amber: Yeah. He brought out the best in me that I wasn’t showing before.

You’ve just got to not give a fuck. Just go out and do it.

Gary: That’s true. Life is short.

Next thing you know, you’re in your seventies and you’re dead, saying, “I wish I had done that when I was younger.”

Amber: Exactly.

The more you do it, the easier it gets.

Gary: With anything, really.

Amber: Yeah.

This is my first podcast I’ve ever done. Before I came online, I was absolutely shitting myself.

Gary: It’s no big deal.

Amber: Now I’m thinking, “All right, it’s not that bad.”

I’d do another one.

Gary: Now you’ll do more.

Amber: Yeah.

Gary: It’s a lot of fun.

I enjoy hearing about the crazy stuff that happens.

That’s what keeps me going day to day.

I love hearing about different kinks and fantasies.

Sometimes they’re weird as fuck, but I’m like, “Yeah, I like that.”

Amber: What other job do you sit around talking about farting and stuff?

Gary: Making a fart video for someone.

Amber: Yeah, I just made a fart video.

Gary: Sounds like a great day to me.

Amber: I do a lot of dick ratings as well.

Dick Ratings as a Content Service

Gary: For a shy person, are you okay doing those?

Amber: I’m actually quite good at those.

Sometimes I see some huge dicks and I’m like, “Oh my God.”

Gary: That probably helps them, too.

Amber: Yeah. It’s a confidence booster.

I don’t know why because they already know they have a huge dick, but they like hearing it.

Gary: So they’ll get a 10 out of 10 from you because it’s massive?

Amber: Exactly.

Gary: How does it work? Do they just say, “Excuse me, ma’am, can you rate my dick, please?” and submit it?

Amber: Yeah.

I’ll do a written, audio or video rating.

Or they’ll do it on cam.

They’ll tip for a dick rating on cam, and I’ll either do it out loud, in private, or through private messages.

Gary: So live dick ratings are a thing?

Amber: Yeah. That’s a massive thing.

Gary: You’ve rated cum shots too?

Amber: Yeah. I do that quite a lot.

Gary: That’s crazy.

Amber: I enjoy it.

Gary: It doesn’t necessarily have to be live, though. It can be videos too.

Amber: Yeah. It can be anything.

I get quite a few on OnlyFans as well.

Gary: You’d think you could do that live on Chaturbate with a split screen so everyone could see.

Amber: You can’t. You can see someone’s cam, but the other users can’t see them.

Gary: That would be cooler.

Amber: Yeah, but the guy would have to be into it.

Gary: They’re probably not going to care if they’re showing you anyway.

Amber: Exactly.

“Hey, random person on the internet, rate my cum shot.”

Gary: Do you have a tip menu so they know they can get that?

Amber: Yeah.

Gary: Because I imagine it would be awkward to just ask someone.

Amber: I get that all the time.

I’ll just say, “Check my tip menu.”

Gary: I just learned something.

Gary Gets a Dick Rating

Gary: All right, real quick before we go. Could you rate my wiener?

Amber: If you want me to.

Gary: Yeah.

Amber: Okay. All right. Ready?

Gary: How is it?

Amber: It’s so funny. I don’t know why I was expecting your real one.

Gary: No, no. That’s my thing for my other thing.

Amber: Okay. I will rate your wiener.

Gary: All right.

Amber: Okay. It’s a little on the thin side.

Gary: Oh, shit. Sorry.

Amber: The length is good, though. It’s super smooth. I wouldn’t mind a little bit more of a bulge at the end, but that’s okay.

It’s got a good curve.

I’ll give it a 7 out of 10.

Gary: All right. That sounds good to me. Thanks.

Amber: You’re welcome.

Gary: This actually worked out great.

Amber: Yeah.

Gary: That’s what they can expect?

Amber: Yeah. I’m always honest.

Unless they ask for a PH rating or something and say, “Be honest,” and it’s the size of a Tic Tac, I’ll be brutal.

Gary: What if they don’t want you to tell them it’s small?

Amber: If it’s small, I’m going to tell them anyway.

Gary: So you’re actually honest?

Amber: Absolutely.

I’ve rated some where I’ve given them a three or four out of ten, and they’ve been like, “What? Really?”

I’m like, “Yeah.”

They thought it was big.

Gary: Oh no.

Amber: But I rate it based on what I like.

To some people, a three- or four-inch penis might be exactly what they like.

It’s subjective.

But yes, I’ll be honest.

Gary: That has to be disappointing for the guys who think they have a big dick.

Amber: They can go to someone who isn’t as brutal and likes more girth.

Gary: I guess it could be worse.

Amber: They get what they want. They got their dick rating, and that’s that.

Girl-Girl Content and Working With Other Creators

Gary: We’ve been talking about dicks so much that I might turn gay.

Amber: Don’t do that.

Gary: Not that there’s anything wrong with it.

Amber: Obviously.

Gary: I love tacos and shit, so…

Amber: Love a taco.

Gary: Me too.

Amber: I’m bisexual.

Gary: I saw that on your ManyVids. You do videos with your husband. Do you do stuff with girls too?

Amber: I’ve got girl-girl content.

Gary: Quite a lot?

Amber: Yeah, quite a lot actually.

Gary: I guess I didn’t scroll far enough.

Amber: It’s easier on OnlyFans because you can just tag the other creator.

Not all creators are on ManyVids.

People I meet up with to make content often have OnlyFans.

Gary: Who doesn’t these days?

Amber: Exactly.

Gary: So with ManyVids, there’s a little more work involved if you’re making content with another creator?

Amber: Yeah. You have to make sure you have the appropriate consent and information unless they’re already a creator there.

ManyVids is a little bit of extra work if you want to make the content specifically for there.

But it’s all on my OnlyFans.

Gary: We’ll have to go check out your OnlyFans for the girl-girl stuff.

Amber: Yeah.

Where to Find Amber Rivers

Gary: There’s nothing better than a lesbian MILF, I suppose.

Amber: There you go.

Gary: Amber, thanks for doing this.

What’s your favorite social media platform that you want everyone to go to?

Amber: Probably TikTok.

I think TikTok is my most fun one.

Gary: All right. TikTok.

Amber: My username is the same everywhere: Amber Rivers, with two I’s.

Gary: You can’t make it any easier than that.

Just Google “Amber Rivers” and all your stuff will come up.

Amber: Probably a lot more stuff than they might have expected.

Gary: Your links get taken down sometimes?

Amber: Yeah. They take down all my links sometimes.

Gary: That’s good to know.

Everyone, go check out Amber Rivers.

I really like her Instagram.

Amber: Thank you.

Gary: I’m going to have to check out your TikTok too because I couldn’t find it.

Amber: It’s the same username everywhere.

Gary: I like to go through people’s Beacons or Linktree links.

I don’t think I saw the TikTok.

Amber: It is on there.

Gary: Maybe I’m just an idiot.

Amber: I’m sorry. I’m making you panic.

Gary: No, I’m sorry if I missed it. I was checking everything out.

Amber: My TikTok isn’t on the big banner buttons. It’s one of the little logos at the top.

Gary: I never click those because I always go by whatever catches my eye.

Maybe you should change that.

Amber: Do you really want customers who miss it?

Gary: Well, if they miss the TikTok but end up on the OnlyFans, that’s okay too.

Amber: Exactly.

Gary: Win-win.

Amber: Win-win situation.

Gary: Everything is connected.

Amber: That’s it. That’s how it should be.

Gary: Connect all your shit.

Closing

Gary: Amber, thanks so much for doing this. This was a lot of fun.

Amber: Thank you, Gary. I had a great time.

Gary: Good. Hopefully we can do it again sometime.

And go do some other podcasts and stuff. You’re good at this.

Amber: I will.

This was fun. You’re the first person who’s invited me on.

Gary: You seemed interesting, and luckily it worked out.

Amber: Thank you.

Gary: Absolutely.

All right, thanks for doing this. Give me a message.

Amber: One hundred percent. Yeah, definitely. We’ll definitely do this again.

Gary: Thanks a lot, Amber.

Amber: Amazing. Thank you.

Gary: All right. Take care.
