Lucy Banks shares how PR, media exposure and smart marketing helped grow her OnlyFans career, why creators should diversify, and how to build a business beyond the platform.
About This Episode
What does it really take to grow an OnlyFans business when the platform itself isn’t sending you new subscribers?
In Episode #75 of Cam Girl Diaries, Gary Gabagool sits down with Lucy Banks, a former banking professional, content creator, entrepreneur, and founder of Million Billion Media, to talk about OnlyFans marketing, PR, audience growth, and building a business that doesn’t depend entirely on one platform.
Lucy spent approximately 10 years working in banking before discovering OnlyFans and making the transition into online content creation. She quickly learned that creating content was only one piece of the puzzle. Without a traditional discovery or Explore page on OnlyFans, she had to figure out how to get people to find her.
Her solution involved social media, PR, journalists, news articles, podcasts, and developing stories that would make people want to click. At one point, Lucy’s audience grew to approximately 104,000 followers, and she says a single article brought around 20,000 followers.
Lucy explains how she approached OnlyFans PR, including finding journalist contact information, sending press releases, developing relationships with media outlets, and learning how to turn her personal experiences into stories that attracted attention.
But perhaps the biggest lesson of the episode is that creators shouldn’t assume their success will always live on the same platform.
Lucy discusses her experiences with OnlyFans, including a major platform warning that affected thousands of creators, and explains why she believes creators should diversify beyond OnlyFans and build additional businesses, audiences, and income streams while they have momentum.
That philosophy eventually led Lucy to Million Billion Media, a PR and marketing agency working with OnlyFans creators, adult-industry businesses, and sex-tech companies.
This is a conversation about OnlyFans promotion, media strategy, audience growth, platform risk, entrepreneurship, and what it takes to turn content creation into something bigger than a profile on one website.

Meet the Guest & Hosts
Lucy Banks | Guest
Lucy Banks is an entrepreneur, former banking professional, content creator, and founder of Million Billion Media, a PR and marketing agency serving OnlyFans creators, adult-industry businesses, sex-tech startups, and other “cheeky” or “spicy” businesses.
Before becoming an online creator, Lucy spent roughly a decade working in banking, including business banking. After discovering OnlyFans, she began building a new career in the creator economy and eventually developed her own approach to OnlyFans marketing and promotion.
Lucy realized early that simply uploading content wasn’t enough. She began using social media to attract attention and eventually turned to PR and media coverage as another way to reach potential followers. Her approach included researching journalists, pitching stories, and building relationships with members of the media.
Her media exposure became an important part of her growth, but Lucy also experienced the challenges that come with becoming a highly visible adult creator. In the episode, she discusses unwanted attention, media scrutiny, people discovering where she lived, and difficult experiences involving her children and her career.
Lucy eventually moved into helping other creators through Million Billion Media, where she applies her experience in PR, marketing, SEO, social media, podcasts, and business strategy. The agency focuses on creating a marketing funnel and driving attention toward a creator or business rather than managing their OnlyFans account itself.

Gary Gabagool | Host
Gary Gabagool is the host of Cam Girl Diaries. In this episode, Gary and Lucy explore the business side of being an online creator, including OnlyFans marketing, OnlyFans PR, audience growth, promotion, platform dependence, and diversification.
Episode Highlights
📰 Turning PR Into Followers
Lucy explains how she discovered that traditional media could be a powerful form of OnlyFans promotion. Rather than relying entirely on social media algorithms, she learned how to find journalists, pitch stories, and build media relationships. She says one article alone generated approximately 20,000 followers.
📈 Building Beyond OnlyFans
Lucy makes the case for diversification throughout the conversation. After seeing how platform decisions could affect creators, she explains why building another business, audience, or source of income while you’re successful can give you more options when circumstances change.
🎯 Find What Works For You
Not every creator needs to chase TikTok, Reddit, Instagram, or whatever platform happens to be hot at the moment. Lucy talks about developing an OnlyFans business strategy around the individual creator, identifying where their existing success comes from, and going deeper into those opportunities rather than simply trying to be everywhere.

Why This Episode Is Worth Watching
If you’ve ever wondered how to grow on OnlyFans without relying entirely on social media, Lucy Banks offers a fascinating perspective.
Her approach was built around a simple realization: getting people to discover you can be just as important as the content you’re creating.
Lucy discusses how she moved from social media promotion into PR, learned how to develop stories that journalists would want to cover, and built relationships with members of the media. Those efforts became a significant part of her audience-growth strategy.
But this episode isn’t simply an OnlyFans marketing masterclass.
It’s also a conversation about what happens when your online career becomes a real business.
Lucy talks openly about platform dependence and why she believes creators should be thinking about diversification before they actually need it. She encourages creators to use periods of growth to start planting the seeds for their next opportunity, whether that’s another platform, a separate business, merchandise, services, or another revenue stream.
She also discusses the philosophy behind Million Billion Media and why she believes marketing strategies should be tailored to the individual creator rather than forcing everyone into the same formula.
For creators interested in OnlyFans PR, OnlyFans promotion, OnlyFans business strategy, or learning how to grow on OnlyFans, this episode provides plenty to think about.
And for anyone considering turning their creator career into a longer-term business, Lucy’s biggest message may be the most important one: don’t wait until you need a Plan B to start building it.

Gary Gabagool: Welcome to the Cam Girl Diaries Podcast. I’m your host, Gary Gabagool. Real stories, real strategies for success. Today, we have Lucy Banks with us. Welcome, Lucy!
Lucy Banks: Thanks for having me. It’s good to be here.
Gary: Oh, fuck yeah. I’ve been wanting to talk to you for a while. This is fucking great. I’m glad you’re here.
So, you were a corporate banker and then you got into OnlyFans. I want to know, how the fuck did that happen?
Lucy: Wild, right?
I was in banking for about 10 years. The role I was in was business banking, which I loved. I loved the dynamics of it. I loved working with all these different businesses and helping them grow.
But it was so soul-sucking. The bank was always like, “Sell more insurance products. Do more loans.” Boom, boom, boom. And I was just like, “I actually don’t want to do this anymore.”
At that stage, I was going through a divorce and I had two really young kids. I had a friend who was doing this thing called OnlyFans. I had a chat with her, I signed up pretty much immediately, and the rest is history.
From a commercial point of view, I saw the benefits, not only financially but also in terms of freedom and lifestyle. At that point, I was doing 60-hour weeks at the bank. I had my kids in daycare, and I thought, “You know what? I’m not doing that anymore.”
I got so much backlash because people were like, “What is she doing? She’s lost her mind. She has such a good job.”
I think for everyone to make sense of it, they had to be like, “No, she’s crazy.”
But it made perfect sense to me, and it turned out to be one of the best decisions I ever made.
Gary: So they can all get fucked!
Lucy: Exactly.
Gary: Oh, hell yeah. Definitely. We’ll get into that.
But I’m curious about the mindset behind that, because those are two completely different genres.
Lucy: Yeah, yes and no. There’s also a lot of skills that are transferable between the two.
The reason I was so good at my banking job was because it was all about relationships. My clients knew that I had really good ideas. I was very dynamic.
I was quite young to be in that role. I was the youngest business banker in Australia at the time. People would say, “You’ve got to work with this girl. She’s a gun. She’s so energetic.”
And literally, that’s why I was successful.
I didn’t even finish Year 10 math. I should not be a banker. I’m not very good with numbers, and I’m still not. But I’m very good at relationships.
All of those skills were very transferable to doing OnlyFans.
Gary: All right, that makes sense. That definitely makes sense.
So, you got into OnlyFans and right away, it sounds like you enjoyed it.
Lucy: I enjoyed the challenge. I like being self-employed. The harder I worked, the more I benefited, rather than some CEO buying his new yacht.
It was nice to be doing something for myself and my family.
Gary: I like that.
But with OnlyFans, OnlyFans isn’t like these other sites such as Chaturbate, Streamate, and all that shit. They put you on the front page. With OnlyFans, you have to promote yourself.
How did you deal with that?
Lucy: That’s the hardest part of it.
There’s this huge misconception where everyone’s like, “Oh, I’m poor. Go join OnlyFans,” or “OnlyFans is so easy.”
And I always say, “Go try it. Go try it. Come back and tell me the same thing.”
Because it is such a hard slog. You’ve really got to hustle for every single follower.
There’s no Explore page. There’s no way for anyone to find your link unless you’re putting it out there.
So, social media is what I recommend everybody starts with because it’s free and there is the potential for you to scale very quickly if you do it right.
I grew on social media to a certain point, and then I started doing media.
I did news articles. I tried to find a publicist, but no one would work with me, so I learned it myself.
Honestly, that’s where most of my success came from in the end. It was the media, not Instagram.
I never had millions of followers. I think at my peak, I had around 104,000 followers, which is nothing compared to these girls who have millions.
But I was earning more because I was having audiences come in from different areas because of the media exposure I got.
Gary: So you didn’t exactly focus only on OnlyFans. It was social media and the media.
Lucy: Exactly.
Because what’s the point of having the best OnlyFans account in the world if no one can see it?
What’s the point?
A lot of people get caught up on, “I need to make all this content. I need to do all these collaborations.”
Yes, that’s important, but you need to focus on the things that come before that as well.
Gary: Exactly. That’s what I’m all about.
If you’re doing OnlyFans, you’ve got to bring people to your OnlyFans. How do you do that?
So, how exactly did you do it?
Lucy: When I started, it was back in 2019, so the game has changed quite a bit.
I started on Instagram and grew on there. Then TikTok became a thing when COVID happened, and I grew on TikTok.
But the thing with being a creator in this industry is that you’re constantly being deplatformed.
Like every other girl, I’ve lost TikToks. I’ve lost Instagrams.
And that’s where PR comes into it, because no matter how many Instagram accounts I lose, people can Google “Lucy Banks” and still find me.
That’s the power of PR. It doesn’t go away.
I’ve got that longevity.
Even now, you can Google my name and the articles still come up. You can still follow the breadcrumbs to find me.
I’m not a creator anymore, but you can still find my social media.
There’s so much power in that.
So that’s really how I grew. Number one, social media. Then I wanted to do something different, so I started leveraging PR.
It was a game changer for me.
There was one week where I think I gained around 20,000 followers on Instagram from one article.
Gary: And then obviously there’s the flow-on effect to OnlyFans.
Lucy: Exactly.
There’s definitely ways inside OnlyFans to promote yourself, like shout-for-shout and things like that, but you’re never going to have that consistency unless you’ve got an active funnel going.
Gary: So with the PR and everything, you were doing that pretty early on. How did you actually get articles written about you?
I’d never heard anyone say that was the first place they went.
Lucy: I didn’t do it straight away. I was probably about 18 months into my OnlyFans journey.
I started writing press releases, Googling journalist email addresses, and sending them out.
Then I found a software platform that would mass-send pictures for me. I worked with them for about six months, and then they were like, “Nope, you’re gone. We’re not promoting OnlyFans. See you later.”
So that worked for me for a little bit.
But during those six months, I made really strong connections with journalists to the point that they were reaching out to me.
I had their contact details, so I just kept riding that wave.
The best months I had on OnlyFans were when I was having articles go viral. There was a direct correlation between the two.
Sometimes on social media, you can go viral. You can have a TikTok pop off, but it doesn’t necessarily convert to subscribers.
For me, the conversion was much stronger with PR.
Gary: And we’re going to get into Million Billion Media because this is all leading up to Million Billion.
Lucy: Definitely. It’s all connected.
Gary: Hell yeah.
So when you started getting articles and everything, what was special about you? What did you do that made people want to write about you?
Lucy: Every article was different, but I started by asking myself, “What’s my story? What’s special about me? What would people want to read about? What’s clickable?”
I always pushed myself as the OnlyFans mom.
My experience was about juggling motherhood and being a well-known online creator.
That included things like people calling the police or child protection because I did OnlyFans, which is so weird.
I also had to move because people found out where I lived.
Then there was my journey from being a single mom who was broke to earning all this money by doing content creation, but doing it unapologetically.
I guess that was my niche. That was who I was.
Then, off the back of that, there were all these other things that happened.
One time, my car was broken into after doing a collaboration. I had all these tools of the trade in my suitcase, and I’m thinking, “Someone is going to be very excited or really disappointed when they’ve broken into my car, opened my suitcase, and found all these OnlyFans girl things.”
But again, that becomes the headline.
It always goes back to, “This is Lucy Banks. This is her story. This is the OnlyFans mom.”
It all has to be very strategic.
If I put out a press release about something that isn’t relevant to me, no one’s going to pick it up.
I think a lot of people think they can just get into the media for no reason, especially these days because the industry is becoming more and more saturated.
Back then, I was one of the only OnlyFans people in the news. Everything I did got picked up.
Now there are lots of creators trying to get into the news.
So it’s a matter of asking, “What’s your story, and how are we going to get that across?”
Sometimes people have great stories, but they just don’t land with the media. The media isn’t interested.
So it’s a bit of trial and error and a bit of pivoting when it comes to PR.
Gary: Yeah, I hear that.
But at least try something.
What year was that, roughly?
Lucy: Probably 2020, I think, when I started doing the PR.
Gary: Yeah. Because I’ve read all your shit.
It was around 2023 when you got into some beef with a certain CEO, right?
Lucy: Oh yeah.
Gary: That’s what I’m talking about.
Lucy: Yeah. I was like, “Maybe I should have publicized that.”
Gary: We all have to talk about it.
Lucy: No, everyone can just read about it. It’s out there.
Gary: You could. It’s out there.
Lucy: Yeah.
Gary: Google “Lucy Banks OnlyFans” and find out all about it.
It’s fucking hilarious.
I’m like, “Who even am I to be in this position where I’m beefing with the CEO?”
Lucy: I know. I’m like, “Who do I think I am?”
Gary: Because once I read that shit about you, I was like, “Oh, fuck. She’s beefing with the CEO of OnlyFans.”
Can’t beat that.
Now talk about the PR that came from that. How was that?
Lucy: It worked out really well because the whole story was about how I was basically saying, “You know what? I’m done. I’m done with OnlyFans. I’m going to go start my own thing.”
Obviously, people were like, “Okay, what the fuck is she up to now? What could she possibly do after OnlyFans?”
Then I had a lot of interest around my new business, Million Billion.
So I was able to start that with such a good boost because I had that media exposure again.
I don’t think OnlyFans would ever have me back if I needed or wanted to join again after that.
But it was great exposure for Million Billion and for my new venture.
Gary: Yeah. We don’t have to talk about the whole beef or anything, right?
Lucy: Oh no, I’m happy to talk about it.
Gary: Oh, good. Then talk about it.
Because when I started reading that shit, I was reading all the articles. I was like, “Oh, this is fucking…”
That’s the greatest promotion you can get, beefing with the CEO of OnlyFans, right?
But before that, you had built yourself up. You were doing your PR, building your OnlyFans, and everything. You built your OnlyFans to a really high level.
Lucy: Yeah.
It was at that point, and I was probably at my peak, when OnlyFans randomly sent out a message to thousands of girls.
I don’t know if it was a glitch, but basically it said, “If you get one more infringement, we’re removing your profile.”
And I was like, “What?”
I’m very much a businesswoman. I’m extremely careful.
OnlyFans has rules. I abide by them to the T because I don’t want to be deplatformed and lose my income. That’s stupid.
So I sent all these support tickets and said, “What have I done? Please explain it to me so I can make sure I never get any more infringements. I’m not risking this. This is my income. Tell me what I’ve done so I’ll make sure it never happens again.”
They said, “Oh, we don’t really know, but if your account goes down, just email us and we’ll review it.”
But I was like, “I’ve got kids. I’ve got mortgages. I can’t just risk that.”
If you’re going to remove my account, maybe I can appeal it.
So I just went back and forth with support.
Eventually I thought, “No, fuck this.”
I messaged the CEO and I was like, “Okay, what is going on?”
I got personal. I said, “You’re a mom. You’ve got kids with disabilities, and so do I. I need this income. I’m not trying to do anything wrong. You need to tell me what I’m doing so I can abide by the rules and do the right thing.”
And still, she was basically saying that if the account went down, I’d have to deal with it then.
I think at one stage she said, “You shouldn’t be selling your Snapchat code.”
And I was like, “Here’s the thing. I submitted this to OnlyFans before. I asked, ‘Is this okay?’ and I was told it was okay.”
I’m that careful.
I double-check everything I do.
I had screenshots of OnlyFans telling me it was okay, and I showed them to her.
And the response was basically, “We’ll just see what happens. If it goes down, it goes down.”
I’m paraphrasing, but that’s how it felt.
And I thought, “How can you sit there as a CEO?”
I’m coming to you as a single mom to another single mom saying, “Let me do the right thing.”
And you’re being so dismissive.
I’d done so much promotion for OnlyFans. I’d always tried to do the right thing. I’d been around for years.
How can you treat me like this?
I hadn’t done anything wrong.
I just thought, “You know what? The way they treat their creators is gross.”
Why couldn’t they just come back to me and say, “Sorry, it’s a glitch. We’ll keep you,” or, “You did this wrong. Don’t do it again.”
I would have said, “Cool.”
Why am I being sent into all this panic?
It became very clear to me that this was not a reliable source of income.
That’s actually a whole other conversation I’m passionate about now: helping OnlyFans creators diversify their income.
If you’re on OnlyFans, that’s great. Let’s leverage that to bring you something else.
At that stage, I had all my eggs in one basket.
So I threw in the towel and said, “No. I’m not making you any more money. I’m going to go do something for myself.”
Gary: As Wu-Tang says, diversify your portfolio, motherfucker.
Lucy: Yes!
You have to really diversify.
There have been so many instances with OnlyFans.
I wasn’t the only one who received that message about one more infringement and you’re down. There were thousands of creators who got it.
Nobody got taken down.
So I’m like, why cause all this mass panic?
Then there was the instance in 2020, I believe, when they said there would be no more adult content and then reversed the decision after 48 hours.
There were girls who were suicidal. I knew girls who had pulled out of college because they thought they weren’t going to be able to afford tuition anymore, and then they couldn’t get back in.
It caused so much mass panic.
It just goes to show how little security creators can have when their income is concentrated on one platform.
Gary: Well, they’re adult creators anyway.
It’s fucking crazy.
But it’s not just OnlyFans. I don’t want to get into my shit because I talk about that shit a little too much.
It’s the same thing with all these platforms like YouTube.
I once got 100,000 subscribers on my YouTube channel and they terminated me for six years.
I was terminated for six years.
I appealed it six years later and got it back because the times had changed.
Lucy: Yeah. I’ve heard of that happening, but why?
Gary: Exactly.
And the point is, if you don’t diversify your shit, you’re fucked.
I didn’t diversify my shit.
I was fucked.
All these platforms are so gray. Especially with what you went through, there are so many gray areas.
Nobody is telling you exactly what the rules are.
Lucy: Yeah.
And it seems to me that it’s different for everybody.
They’ll take you down without any rhyme or reason.
So, in the wise words of Wu-Tang: diversify, diversify.
Diversify your portfolio.
And the thing with someone like OnlyFans is that you’ve got such a concentrated window of attention, even more so than other influencers.
There are people who will buy anything you sell.
So you need to be creating something else.
Whether it’s merchandise, a completely separate business, or becoming an influencer, you need to be doing it while you’re at your peak so you can capitalize on all those eyes that are looking at you.
Don’t wait until you’re at the end like I did and say, “Oh, now I need to do something else.”
You need to be doing it while you’re at your peak.
Gary: But you’ve got to see your peak, though.
What if your shit is just building and you don’t even know you’re at your peak?
Lucy: That’s very true. That’s a good point.
Maybe this is a conversation we need to be having about when you start gaining any level of traction or notoriety.
Start sewing the seeds then.
Because you don’t know how far it’s going to go.
Gary: Exactly.
I think that’s a great point.
Once you see you’re starting to grow, that’s when you diversify your portfolio.
Add something else in.
Because that’s what I was thinking. I can’t even imagine how scary that had to be.
When you were having those conversations, were you diversified at that point, or were all your eggs in the OnlyFans basket?
Lucy: I did have a Fansly as well, but I never really focused on it.
I knew I could transfer my audience across, but you never get full conversion.
Hypothetically, if I had 100 subscribers on OnlyFans, maybe I’d get 30 across to Fansly.
You’re never going to get that full conversion.
I’d been building it for years and years, so it was full of content, but I never really promoted it.
So when I started Million Billion, I had to ask myself, “Who’s my existing audience?”
I’ve got these men who follow me because they think I’m a babe.
Then I’ve got a lot of women and other creators who follow me because they want to learn from me and do what I’ve done.
So who am I going to appeal to?
What are my next steps?
What audience am I going to leverage?
I really wanted to work with creators because that’s my community. That’s my network.
If I remove myself from this community, I don’t really have any friends left.
So I wanted to stay in it.
It was a very obvious transition for me to start Million Billion because I feel like I was one of the people who could really step into starting a PR and marketing company in this industry.
I’ve done it.
I’ve got business experience.
It was a very obvious transition for me.
Even though I didn’t really diversify at the time, I looked at what I had and thought, “Okay, what’s the next thing that makes sense for me?”
Gary: That’s what I was going to say.
With everything you’ve been through and your mindset, Million Billion Media was definitely the next step for you.
Lucy: Thank you.
Gary: Oh, hell yeah.
I mean, fuck.
You should be the host of Cam Girl Diaries.
Seriously.
I should just turn this shit over to you.
But yeah, I don’t want to fuck anything up.
Talk about Million Billion Media.
I was researching it and everything, and I think I know what it’s all about, but explain it.
Lucy: Million Billion Media is a PR and marketing agency for OnlyFans creators, adult industries, sex-tech startups, and anyone doing something that’s a little bit cheeky and a little bit spicy.
It’s our job to help you grow, help you make connections, and help you make partnerships that are going to propel your business.
We do not do OnlyFans management.
So, think of it like this: you’ve got your OnlyFans, and you’ve got OnlyFans managers, or you run your account yourself.
We do everything above that.
I don’t have access to any of my clients’ OnlyFans accounts. I’m not interested. There’s no need for me to have it.
It’s our job to build the funnel and get eyes onto that link.
Then it’s their job to get the sales from there, whatever that looks like for them.
We do work with other agencies that we can recommend, including OnlyFans management agencies, but that’s not something we do.
We’re everything beforehand.
Sometimes that looks like media and news articles, like what I did.
Sometimes it looks like getting our clients onto podcasts like this.
Sometimes we audit their social media and say, “Okay, you’ve got to fix this, this, and this.”
Sometimes it’s looking at their SEO, depending on what their business is, and saying, “Are you doing this correctly?”
There are a lot of different facets, and each client requires something different.
It’s really dynamic.
Everybody’s different.
Everyone’s goals are different.
There are some clients we work with who say, “I’m going to be out in a year. Make me as much money as possible.”
There are other people who say, “I’m going to be out in two years, and then I want to be a painter.”
Okay. So what are we doing now to make sure that you can exit with what you need to go and do what you want?
I like to say we’re an A-to-Z agency.
We can help people who are just starting out. We’ve got packages available.
We’re also launching Creator Cash Club today. I don’t know when this will go to air, but today is May 31st.
That’s a membership you can join for $199.
It’s a Discord channel packed with information, knowledge, and value.
My idea behind it is that these people will grow and then they’ll become Million Billion clients.
If they don’t, that’s fine too. I’ve still been able to help them grow.
We’ve got packages for people right at the beginning.
Creator Cash Club is still relevant to big creators as well.
Then we have PR, podcasts, and everything else for top creators.
You don’t really need PR or marketing unless you’re at a stage where you’re saying, “Okay, I need to go to the next level.”
So, yeah, we do a bit of everything.
It’s the best fun, and I love our clients.
I love what we do.
It’s very cool seeing people grow and seeing their names in the media.
Gary: Links in the description.
MillionBillionMedia.com.
And I have to say, because if you go to YouTube, you know I’m all about YouTube. That’s my expertise.
But you see all these guys. It’s always guys.
They’ll tell you how to do OnlyFans. They’ll tell you how to grow your cam girl business and everything.
And they have no experience.
They don’t know anything about it.
If I was going to spend some money to gain experience and actually get some help, this is what I’d want.
Someone who actually knows what they’re talking about, has the experience, and actually has a plan.
Because all these YouTube guys, I hate these motherfuckers.
I want to make a whole series on these YouTubers who do this shit because they just talk about the same shit that anyone with common sense already knows.
It’s all the same.
They’ve all got these Instagrams where they’re standing in front of their rented private jets and their Rolexes and blah, blah, blah.
It pisses me off.
I’m like, if I was a creator looking at that, I’d just be thinking, “Okay, so you make money off girls. What are you doing for the girls?”
Lucy: And look, there are some agencies that are great.
I do work with some men who are fantastic.
But there are also agencies that are just there to make money.
They don’t care about the creators.
They don’t care about their exit strategies.
They don’t care about whether they’re investing or how they’re doing in other areas of their lives.
Whereas I’ve been there.
I approach business with a hybrid energy of feminine and masculine.
I’m also a mom.
I care.
I want people to grow in a sustainable way, in a way that’s healthy for them.
And what that looks like is different for everybody.
That’s why we don’t take a cut from their OnlyFans.
We work on a retainer.
That’s what you pay every month.
Some months there’s a lot of work because something big is coming up. I’m not going to charge them extra because that’s what we agreed on.
I want to make money for them, not from them.
If that makes sense.
Gary: That definitely makes sense.
So when you say retainer, what exactly does that mean?
Lucy: There are different packages available, and it depends on your goals and what part of your journey you’re in as to which retainer or package is suitable for you.
Our retainers start at around $4,500 a month.
That’s, “This is what we’re going to be doing for you every single month.”
They pay us that every month.
It doesn’t matter if we end up doing 150 hours a month for them. It’s all included in that retainer.
Because with PR and marketing, sometimes you’ll have a quiet month, sometimes you’ll have a bigger month, and it all balances out.
But you always have this team behind you trying to propel you every single month.
Sometimes a client pops off in the first month.
Sometimes it doesn’t happen for six months.
But once you go viral and it goes crazy, you’re earning so much more than that retainer.
Sometimes PR doesn’t work for everybody.
But I like that model because if we need to work harder for you, I’m not going to charge you more.
And if you do come into all this income, I love that for you.
That’s yours.
You’re paying us to do a job. You’re not paying us based on your success.
We’re just here to do our job.
Gary: Does that make sense?
Lucy: Exactly.
Gary: Oh, definitely.
If I was a cam girl, just hearing what you’re saying, I’d feel confident.
I’d think, “Okay, based on all these YouTube bullshitters, I’d feel more confident with you.”
But what about cam girls who just don’t have it?
I don’t know what the right term is.
They don’t know anything about social media or the business, or they just don’t have the personality that makes them stand out.
How do you work with them?
Lucy: That’s a really great question, and I’m glad you asked it because we do come across this.
When we have someone like that come to us and say, “We want to do PR and marketing,” and I’m looking at them thinking, “There’s nothing interesting about you.”
That’s not a criticism.
I don’t make the rules.
It’s just the way it is sometimes.
Gary: No disrespect.
Lucy: Exactly. No disrespect.
So we need to have a conversation about their goal.
Do you want to do camming for a year? Three years? Five years? Is this the rest of your life?
What do you want to do?
If they say, “I want to do it for two years. I want to buy a house.”
Okay, great.
How are we going to reverse-engineer that so you can reach your goal?
We look at what they’re doing at the moment.
Say they’re making $1,000 a month and they need to be making $5,000 a month.
They’re still making $1,000 a month, so someone is finding them interesting.
Something is happening.
So it’s about looking at, “Okay, you’re making $1,000 a month. Where’s that coming from?”
Is it purely subscriptions?
Is it PPV?
What is it about you?
Because there’s something.
Then we double down on that.
That might not be PR.
They might have a small subscriber base, but they’re really good at getting a lot of money out of those subscribers.
Okay, great.
Then we’re going to go deeper instead of wider.
I’m a big believer that everyone has the potential to be successful, but everyone’s success is going to look different.
Gary: Yeah, totally makes sense.
So you don’t generally…
Again, I’m stuck on you versus these OnlyFans fuckboys because I can’t stand that shit.
They’re basically scamming cam girls.
It pisses me off, and I’m not even in the business.
But what you’re saying is you take whatever someone has as a person or as a cam girl and focus on the positives and make that work.
Lucy: Absolutely.
Because it isn’t the same for everybody.
Say I’ve got a creator in front of me and I’m like, “Okay, you need to go do TikTok Lives every single day.”
That’s not going to work for a lot of creators.
Some creators are so good at it. They’re so good at conversing and bringing people in.
That’s great.
That’s what they need to be focused on.
We’re going to make a schedule and keep them accountable to doing that.
There are others where it just will not work.
And that’s okay.
That’s not a problem.
So what does work for them?
Gary: Exactly.
Isn’t that what it should be?
Lucy: That’s my point.
I want it to be done in a way that the creators are comfortable with so it’s sustainable.
Let’s go back to that example.
If I’m telling someone to do TikTok Lives every day, but that doesn’t come naturally to them, they’re not going to do it.
Perhaps they’re better off having a Reddit strategy so they can do things through text and maybe that’s going to convert better for them.
Or maybe they want to be totally hands-off and we need to bring in someone external to do their social media.
There are so many options.
It’s going to look different for everyone.
But it needs to be specific.
I’m not going to tell someone, “Do this, do this, do this, and that’s what’s going to make you successful.”
No.
If it worked for everyone, everyone would do it.
It doesn’t work like that.
I’ve seen it.
It doesn’t work like that.
You need to do what works specifically for you.
Gary: Yeah.
I mean, if you’re just trying something, throw everything at it and see what works.
You can do that.
But if you really want to get down to the nitty-gritty, you need to focus on what works for you.
And that’s why I think Million Billion Media is really valuable.
If you really want to get down to it, you want someone to tell you exactly what works about you.
Someone from the outside perspective who can see what works about you.
That’s what you want.
That’s what I would want.
I want to know what’s working.
Lucy: Exactly.
Gary: I would love to fucking hear what you think is working for me.
Unfortunately, I can’t afford you because I’m a broke-ass motherfucker.
But I’d love to hear what you think is working for me and what isn’t.
Lucy: And that’s why I’ve created Creator Cash Club.
It’s $199 to enter, and it’s about having those conversations.
It’s a Discord channel where everyone bounces ideas off each other.
Gary: You can’t fucking beat that.
Lucy: Feedback is so important.
Gary: Yeah.
All right, unfortunately, Lucy, I have to go.
But I’m so fucking hyped up for this.
Can we do a Part Two?
Lucy: Yes, absolutely.
We’re launching Creator Cash Club today, so I’d love to come back and tell you how that’s going, how people in the community are growing and thriving.
And if your community has any questions, let’s answer them in another episode.
Gary: Absolutely. We’re definitely doing a Part Two.
Thank you so much, Lucy.
All links are in the description. Hit her up. You won’t be sorry.
