Learn how to build a loyal fanbase as a cam model. Sly Panorama shares tips on content variety, fan engagement, and turning casual viewers into repeat buyers.
About This Episode
What makes fans keep coming back and spending money on your content? According to Sly Panorama, success as a cam model isn’t just about creating content. It’s about understanding your audience, experimenting with different ideas, and building a loyal fanbase that wants to support you long-term.
In this highlight from Cam Girl Diaries Podcast Episode #101, Sly Panorama joins host Gary Gabagool to discuss content variety, fan engagement, and the importance of building a community rather than treating your audience like a collection of customers.
Sly shares his experience as a male content creator, explaining how different fans can have very different preferences. From experimenting with solo content and custom requests to discovering what specific audiences enjoy, he highlights why content creation tips often come down to testing ideas, listening to your fans, and learning what works for your particular audience.
But there’s another important lesson: your relationship with your fans can be just as valuable as the content you sell.
When you engage with your audience, make fans feel heard, and build genuine connections, you give them more reasons to return. Loyal supporters may continue buying your content, sending tips, and sticking with you even when you experiment with something new.
Whether you’re a cam girl, cam model, or another type of adult content creator, this conversation offers practical insight into building a loyal fanbase, improving fan engagement, and developing a more sustainable creator business.
Watch the highlight to learn why experimenting with content matters, why community building can pay off, and how understanding your audience can help you grow.

Sly Panorama:
Honestly, early on, I think it’s the variety that helps you find what works for you. It’s about figuring out which lever to pull, which things will actually help you grow, and what your fans want to see. If they keep buying it, then cool. You should keep doing that.
Not everybody wants to see the same things. One thing I’ve found while starting to do solo content and streaming on platforms like OnlyFans is that, in general, people want to see a little bit of everything.
Some people want to see you using toys. Some want to see you playing with yourself. They might want a certain angle, or they might want to see you on your back or on your side. I’ve even had women on my page request that they want to see my face when I’m coming. They want to see both me and my face, so I position the camera to capture both.
Other people request specific types of toys. But one of the most interesting things I’ve discovered is that certain groups of people want to see you through the whole life cycle of an erection.
They want to see you go from soft all the way to hard, climax, and then back again. There’s a market for that.
It’s not all just hard dicks and the kind of porn everybody assumes it is. There aren’t as many men putting their soft dicks on the internet because most men worry about how they’ll look. If they don’t think they look impressive when they’re hard, they certainly don’t think they’ll look impressive when they’re soft.
Surprisingly enough, though, I get a lot of requests for that, mostly from women.
Gary Gabagool:
Women? That makes so much sense. You’ve got to say dudes aren’t into that stuff, right? Women!
Sly Panorama:
It depends on the guy, but it does seem to be more of a female interest. Most of my requests for that kind of content come from women.
It’s interesting because it’s a different genre of content. Women also seem to be much more interested in audio recordings and things like that. Some want to hear my voice.
I’ve had custom requests where they just want me to say things like “good girl.” They have a praise kink and want to hear my voice saying it. I’ve had a few custom requests like that.
It’s interesting learning that different demographics are interested in wildly different types of content. You have to figure out which audiences respond to what and lean into it.
Gary Gabagool:
As a male creator, it sounds like you’re doing a ton of different things. I don’t want to compare male and female creators, but honestly, there are things you’ve mentioned that I never would have thought you’d be doing.
Sly Panorama:
Honestly, early on, I think it’s the variety that helps you figure out what works for you. It’s about finding which lever to pull, which things will help you grow, and what your fans want to see.
If they keep buying it, then cool. You should keep doing that, at least until you’ve grown big enough to branch out into other things.
Early on, it’s about experimenting and figuring it out.
Gary Gabagool:
Exactly! You have to experiment, see what works, and build a community. I think that’s the biggest part: building a community.
These aren’t just customers. If you really want to build something lasting, you’ve got to build a community.
Sly Panorama:
Exactly. The more you engage with your fans, talk to them, and make them feel seen and heard, the better off you are. You want to return that relationship fantasy they’ve got.
A lot of fans develop that parasocial connection where they think they know you, when really, they know your content.
But the more you engage with them and interact with them, the better off you are. These are the people who keep coming back, keep buying from you, and keep sending you tips randomly.
They’ll stick with you through anything. You might decide to try something completely different, and they might not like it, but they’ll still stick with you. They may not like it, but they’ll tell you about it, too.
Everybody likes to have their opinion heard.
Gary Gabagool:
Even in the YouTube world, hardcore fans will stick with you through anything. But they’ll also let you know when they want you to go back to what you used to do.
It’s like, “Go back to classic Coke. We don’t like New Coke!”
Sly Panorama:
And they’ll do it in the nicest way, too. That’s how you know they’re real fans. Nobody on the internet is nice!
But that’s kind of how it works. You try new things and see if they work. If they don’t, you go back to doing what worked before.
Keep pulling that same lever until it doesn’t work anymore.
Gary Gabagool:
Oh, hell yeah! Pull that lever, baby! That’s how you do it!
